Grandstands And Pit Area Full On Pack The Track Night
It was "Pack The Track", night on Friday as the fans were treated to half price addmission. A live Wiggle 100
remote a Meet and Greet of all the drivers and a mechanics race in the Front Wheel Drive class were part of the
evenings festivities. Seventy one race machines filled the pit area all waiting the drop of the green flag.
The Graphix By Billy sponsored Factory Stocks were the first feature. Qualifying race winner Stan Matthews did
not make the start after loosing an engine after taking the checkered flag. Bubba Peters grabbed the early lead.
Last weeks feature winner Mike Mente had other ideas as he grabbed the lead on lap eight. Mike went on to hold off
Mike Chilson and Donny Burgess to record his second feature win. Rounding out the top five were George Briegel
and Chad Roberts.
Next up were the S and A Construction Street Stocks. Nick Robinson continued his win streak to four. Behind
him the action was tight and exciting as Bobby Maynard, Ernie Martin and Tommy Eicklor all battled for position. It
was Ernie Martin who made his way into second with Tommy Eicklor in third. A last lap caution bunched the field up
adding Jason Benjamin into the mix. When the green dropped for the restart Ernie gave all he could to get around
the Robinson machine. Checkers fell Ernie Martin, Jason Benjamin, Gene Sharpsteen and Ricky Davis finished in the
top five.
Full Field 500 was in place for the G-n-S Trucking Front Wheel Drive class. Twenty two race machines took the
green flag. Donna Belcher grabbed the early lead with Nick Wesneski getting to the front quickly. Nick grabbed the
lead on lap four and no one could catch him. In the closing laps Marcus Wood made his way into second with Ray
Greene Jr., on his bumper. Newcomers Adam Delgrosso and Cody Baker closed in. When the checkered flag fell it
was win number four for Nick Wesneski. Following Nick was Marcus Wood, Ray Greene Jr., Adam Delgrosso, and
Cody Baker across the finish line.
Staiman Recycling IMCA mods made their way on to the surface. Brad Sites and Victor McNeal paced the field to
the green. The rookie Brad Sites grabbed the lead early. He held on to it until his brother Eddie Sites stole it away
on lap fourteen. They battled for the lead side by side for several laps with Brad hoping that he could win his first
feature. The action behind the top two was tight as Ray McClure battled hard with Ed McKernan for third and fourth.
When the checkered flag fell it was Eddie Sites, Brad Sites, Ray McClure, Ed McKernan and Jake Maynard.
The final regular feature event was the Grady Rental Mini Stocks. Tyler Belcher and Vernon Flournoy brought
the field to the green. Josh Hall grabbed the lead, but Tyler Belcher stole it on lap two. Mike Koser battled with Tyler
early in the event with the hopes of making a repeat visit to victory lane. Mike did lead the event for six lap, but Tyler
had other plans taking back the lead on lap 10. Only two cautions slowed the event, but Tyler Belcher was right on
his game. He held off a late race charge by Shane Brown to capture his first win of the 2012 season. Rounding out
the top five were Shane Brown, Mike Koser, Brett Gleason and Mike Navone.
Coming up this Friday will be a regular show sponsored by Forbes Machine Shop. The fans will once again be
treated to great racing at an affordable price. Grandstand admission is just $10 for adults, children ages 6 to 12 are
$5.00 and children 5 and under are "FREE". Be sure to reserve your favorite viewing spot by getting to the track
